Trading with timing

There are three possible reasons why the program does not start:

a) If you have a 32 bit Windows, you must install the 32-bit version of SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB first.

How do you find out if you have 32 bit Windows

Follow these steps to install the 32-bit version of SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB:
    1. Download SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB here
    2. Click Download
    3. Place a check mark to the left of "ENU\\x86\\SqlLocalDB.MSI" and click Next to start the download.
    4. Install SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB.

b) Trying to install Stockhelp on Windows XP or Windows Vista will not work, because SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB that Stockhelp uses does not support Windows XP or Windows Vista.

c) Sometimes you can get the message "Stockhelp is not responding" or "Stockhelp does not start" when trying to start the program as soon as the desktop is shown. This is because SQL Server 2014 takes a bit longer time to start than Stockhelp. Try to wait 15 seconds after the desktop appears before starting Stockhelp.

If this does not help, we need to know if some other error message appears after a while (wait 100 seconds, then a timeout error message should appear).
